Andy Tyrrell is based in Dorset and has a love for producing artisan, seasonal food. He has worked in all four corners of the UK and was most recently Head Chef at River Cottage HQ. His passion for bread making especially sourdough is infectious. He has taught and inspired countless people over the last ten years. Andy’s style is based on cooking good simple things at home. Excellent 1st class from Andy, he made it very easy to follow the steps on starting the sour dough starter and I’m looking forward to the next step.
I booked this class as a bit of me-time, time out from trying to combine full-time work and home schooling a 7 and a 9 year old. It was a real tonic! Andy made the experience really enjoyable and informative yet simple. I am currently feeding my sourdough starter every day in preparation for next week’s lesson and can’t wait to learn more skills that will enable me to produce my own sourdough on a regular basis. Well, I have done all 5 clinics and I can truly say that the last was as good as the first. Understanding different ways to present and bake your loaves was fascinating. I even tried out decorating the loaf I made straight after the session! I would recommend these classes to anyone who has an interest in sourdough bread making. Many thanks Andy.
